ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the word analepsis is formed by way of the Greek word análipsi meaning “ascension” which is applied in the context of Astronism to mean “ascension to the astronomical world by way of the process of transcension”, hence analepsis embodies the concept of transcension.
