ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY
Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix astri- is used as a variation of the prefix astro- to denote “the astronomical world and its phenomena”, which is in turn conjoined to the suffix -ician in order to denote a practitioner of something, hence altogether meaning “a practitioner of astronomical phenomena.”
