ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix exo- denotes that which comes from “outside” or “from beyond” in order to mean extraterrestrial life; the conjoining of this prefix with the word naturalism is used to contrast the phenomena of extraterrestrial life from mundane and human phenomena; as a result, the adjective exonatural and the noun the exonatural comes to denote all activity involving extraterrestrial beings.
